Iberdrola Mexico boosts the country’s green targets and exceeds 1,160 MW of installed renewable capacity
Iberdrola Mexico has now reached 1,163 MW of installed renewable capacity. The company has seven wind farms and three photovoltaic farms, which together produce enough energy to supply more than 500,000 homes.
Iberdrola Mexico is thus contributing to achieving the environmental target set by the Mexican government, which expects 35 % of its electricity generation to come from clean sources by 2024.
The monitoring of Iberdrola Mexico’s ten renewable facilities is carried out 24 hours a day from the Iberdrola group’s Renewable Remote Operation Centres (CORE), which favours the efficiency and profitability of all the farms, identifying faults and providing immediate solutions.
