In the coming years, car manufacturers are expected to launch new hybrid and pure electric models. Iberdrola as a recharging manager, in collaboration with manufacturers, is researching and developing different technological aspects around recharging solutions (high power DC charging and VE-PR communication protocols) for users, adapted to the different needs of use: private homes, fleets and public places. At the same time, it develops charging infrastructure management systems that seek, on the one hand, to offer services to end users, and on the other hand, to increase the efficiency of these processes: PR-Back Office communication protocols, power and consumption demand management, remote operation, real-time status information, development of mobile applications for end users.

These are integral solutions that will include the recharging system, its installation, maintenance and other value-added services, such as interoperability with the recharging infrastructure of other operators, new functionalities for the end user (PR reservation) and the development of new means of payment for these services.
